Korean Meteorological Administration and IOC sign agreement of support for JCOMM activities

JCOMM-signing2011A signing ceremony was held in Paris, Oct. 17, 2011 with Haman Cho, Deputy Administrator of the Korea Meteorological Administration and Mitrasen Bhikajee, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission.

The signing ceremony formalized the arrangements for the Fourth Session of JCOMM to be held 23-31 May 2012 in Yeosu, Korea, and provide a reinforcement of IOC funds for the work programme of JCOMM that will be decided by WMO Members and IOC Member States. The agreement builds a strong and concrete partnership between IOC and the Korea Meteorological Administration which brings to life the philosophy of JCOMM: uniting the oceanographic and meteorological communities to better serve society.   Read more...
